"any other questions I can answer?"

Hopefully you meant on any topic...Can you update us on the Monona grade configuration committee such as how the committee will be selected (i.e. the process) who will be making the decision, when the decision will be made, how many people applied, etc.? I think it's good to get this info out soon and in a straightforward manner. There are already rumors....

John Kitslaar responds:

The appointments were not made [this month] so that Craig can set up a meeting involving all of those who have applied and the Board members. This will be a listening session for the Board and administrators to receive input from the community members who have applied to be on the committee. At this listening session, all of the applicants will be able to express their thoughts and hear what the other applicants are thinking about. This way all of the applicants will have an opportunity to provide input and hear the input of the others. Also, the applicants will be requested to fill out additional information about their qualifications and what they feel they can provide to the committee. After this session, Craig and I will make the appointments. The appointments will might not be made at the October meeting because I believe Craig is talking about setting this meeting up the Tuesday before the Board meeting. The committee will include 6 community members with a total committee size of 12.

P.S. The intent for the community membership is to have 4 from Monona and 2 from CG.

Sincere best wishes to you on this effort, and here is hoping this committee succeeds when so many others have been bogged down in personal agendas. Maybe your careful and transparent selection process will be the key to that success.

Why does the sign at Cottage Grove Elementary School state "Cottage Grove Schools" and not the more obvious statement.

Why was the sign taken down at Nicholas? I think their should be some sort of sign-noting this building.

I think the sign was put up and paid for by the CG elementary PTO to display events and information about the two CG elementary schools, not to identify the building it stands in front of.

Peter,

Are you willing to swear that you know nothing about the origin of the Karl Rove Pie to Nowhere?

Peter Sobol said...

No, I don't know the origin of the "Karl Rove Pie to Nowhere".

I don't know about the sign in CG, other than it was installed by the CG elementary PTO so the above sounds correct. Perhaps someone who knows can weigh in.

Wasn't the Nichols sign moved to Winnequah?
